Kale Chips Recipe

Kale Chips Recipe

People always assume that when you're the type of person who watches what they eat, you're a Kale and Beetroot loving hipster! Couldn't be further from the truth, I personally dislike Kale however I absolutely love Kale Chips.

They're so easy to make and you can mix up the flavours and season with what ever you prefer.

1. Firstly wash your Kale and leave to dry. You want decent sized cuts as they hold the seasoning better.

2. Add your Kale to a bowl along with a drizzle of olive oil (not too much or they will be greasy). It's mainly to help the seasoning stick.

3. Season and mix to get a good coating. I use salt and nutritional yeast, works really well.

4. Spread a single layer across a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven on low temperature (they burn easily), 10-15 minutes on 100 degrees is normally about right. You want them to dehydrate but not go brown.

That's it! As they are dehydrated on low temperature the Kale will retain it's nutrition whilst losing that tough chewiness. Be warned these are very addictive you can easily find yourself eating the whole tray on your own.
